Catalysing deals in Africa's service sector

2026

Context and Opportunity

Africa’s services sector is the continent’s single largest contributor to GDP and employment growth, yet remains significantly underfunded relative to its potential.

Growth-stage service businesses face a compounding set of barriers that limit their ability to attract investment including weak business plans, limited market validation, and an inability to communicate a compelling investment case.

Growth Gateway’s Services Deal Accelerator provided hands-on investment-readiness support to 18 African service businesses across sectors such as fintech, agriculture, clean energy, and e-mobility.
